June 10th, 2006 Mainstream Trains: (view catalog) The single day June Mainstream Auction was held at the auction gallery in West Middlesex, PA. This auction covered several local estates and train collections. The June auction offered all eras and collecting levels. The June auction offered various manufactures with a strong showing of high end modern era with a huge selection of MTH and Lionel Classics standard gauge trains with accessories. This auction also highlighted a fair amount of brass trains from a NJ estate plus a great selection of better American Flyer S gauge trains. February 24th and 25th 2006 cataloged trains: (view catalog) The late February auction was held in Williamsport, IN with another astounding selection of high grade postwar and prewar trains. This auction highlighted the massive collections of Lew Striebeck TCA 80-14926 and Bill Sanchez TCA 61-534. This huge two day offering had a large number of sets but one of the real highlights will be a fantastic selection of original boxes from both prewar and postwar. These original boxes have unparalleled condition and rarity. The prewar trains in the auction were a large amount of Hafner and American Flyer prewar as well as several fantastic standard gauge items from Lionel including a boxed and set boxed 396E Blue Comet set that was the top lot of the day at $19,500.00. This auction offered an outstanding selection of American Flyer S gauge, brass HO and O gauge and one HUGE group of postwar Lionel. A great auction! The November 4th and 5th, 2005 Train Auction (view catalog with price key) was the kickoff for the new West Middlesex, PA auction facility. Gary Zippie and Greg Stout as partners in a second Stout Auction's facility really had a fantastic first auction event in PA. This incredible auction was from the lifelong collection of Bob Lakemacher, TCA 63-809 with additions from Al Clarke TCA 82-17849. We had some fantastic results with the top item sold being a sealed 13150 Hudson set for $31,900.00. This set was followed by the white Ives set for $23,100, a 2148WS Hudson set for $15950.00 and a Marklin gauge 1 Anheuser Busch Budweiser car for $9420.00.
