Stout Auctions of Williamsport Indiana is proud to publicly announce its partnership with Lionel LLC to deaccession the company product archives held in Concord North Carolina. The archives contain many production samples, mock-ups, and prototypes from the classic pre and postwar period as well as the modern era from both Lionel and American Flyer.

For the past six months, Stout Auctions has worked to find quality collections for some of the most historical Lionel pieces to safely reside. As we move forward we are excited to open this opportunity up to a wider range of Lionel collectors across the country and the world.

The sale of these items is being conducted privately and will not take place in a public auction. Serious enthusiasts and advanced collectors are welcome to make an appointment to view the collection at our Indiana facility. Due to the unique nature of this collection we will not be publishing a list, these are items best viewed in person.

Select items purchased from this collection will also receive a letter of authenticity from Lionel stating their heritage as part of the archive collection.

For more information about this decision and how it was reached, you can listen to Lionel LLC President Howard Hitchcock’s interview on the Notch 6 Podcast by playing the audio interview located at the bottom of this page. The specific information on the archives starts at the 34:40 mark of the interview.

Parties interested in arranging an opportunity to view and purchase items from the archives may email us at archives@stoutauctions.com
